Our Sunday school was started 72 years back, when the cathedral was just a chapel. The strength of the students is 266 which is the highest when compared to that of the others in Kottayam. 30 teachers of great motivation, mostly ladies serve as friends, guides and guardian angels. Refreshments served immediately before the classes and arrangements for conveyance back to their homes after the classes help the children and their parents a lot.

In this era of exceedingly frightening irreligiousness, any one can face rough weathers and tempests in life only by a strong foundation of faith in God and our unfailing hope in His availability and protection. Our Sunday school tries to ‘’Catch them Young” as it is the need of the hour, in order to equip them with the cardinal Christian virtues of Faith, Hope and Love so that there will not be a slip into foolishness and lamentable despair.
